Every fabrication step is performed in Europe. LIGENTEC operates across three sites: Ecublens (CH) — the LIGENTEC headquarters and primary R&D site at EPFL Innovation Park with a 100 mm cleanroom facility; Corbeil-Essonnes (FR) — design engineering, production and testing, with mature processes at industrial scale in 200 mm; and Ghent (BE) — heterogeneous integration and advanced R&D. Volume production is performed at X-FAB’s 200 mm automotive-qualified CMOS fab in Europe.
A fully European supply chain is a strategic differentiator for customers in defence, space, quantum, and critical infrastructure markets where non-European fabrication introduces supply risk.
