The first step is typically a discussion with the LIGENTEC team about your application, performance targets, and anticipated tape-out plans.
For early-stage evaluations, customers do not necessarily need the complete PDK. In many cases, we can share relevant platform information, device capabilities, process specifications, and example performance data to help determine whether the technology is a good fit for the project.
Once a project is sufficiently defined and there is a realistic path toward tape-out, customers can request access to the full PDK through the LIGENTEC team or via ligentec.com/pdk/. Access is provided under a Design Kit License Agreement (DKLA) signed by an authorized representative of the company or university. The full PDK includes validated component libraries, DRC rule files, design documentation, and simulation models compatible with industry-standard design environments including Luceda, Synopsys, Lumerical, and GDSFactory.
The same PDK is used for both MPW prototyping and volume production, enabling a seamless transition from design validation to manufacturing. First Time Right design execution is built into the PDK workflow.
