Application pillars: Connect, Sense, Compute
LIGENTEC’s SiN platform is deployed across three primary pillars:
- Connect: Datacom and Telecom (coherent transceivers, WDM, optical interconnects, data-centre connectivity, 5G/6G microwave photonics); Space (low-SWaP optical links, radiation-hard high-Q resonators for satellite payloads).
- Sense: LiDAR and beam-steering (FMCW LiDAR, optical phased arrays, autonomous vehicles and robotics); Biosensing and medical diagnostics (lab-on-chip, sepsis detection, tumour diagnostics, cardiac catheter sensing); Spectroscopy and environmental monitoring; Metrology and atomic clocks.
- Compute: Quantum photonics (QKD, quantum computing, entangled photon sources); Neuromorphic and optical computing; AR/VR (visible-spectrum waveguides on AN150).
