LIGENTEC is incorporated in Lausanne, Switzerland, commercialising state-of-the-art Silicon Nitride photonics manufacturing built on technology development dating back to 2012. A pure-play SiN foundry purpose-built from day one.
Strategic partnership established with X-FAB, enabling LIGENTEC’s proprietary Silicon Nitride platforms to become available at volume on a world-class, automotive-qualified CMOS manufacturing line, providing a path from prototype to production.
Heterogeneous integration of Thin Film Lithium Niobate demonstrated and commercialised. LIGENTEC becomes the first industrial foundry to offer fast TFLN-on-SiN modulators.
ISO 9001 certification achieved, formalising LIGENTEC’s commitment to quality management and reinforcing its position as a trusted, production-grade foundry partner.
III-V heterogeneous integration demonstrated and commercialised. LIGENTEC introduces InGaAs photodetectors co-integrated with low-loss SiN waveguides, completing the active photonics platform.
